AROUND 20% OF VEHICLES WILL NOTICE ‘TRANSAXLE RATTLE’ WHEN IN NEUTRAL, AT IDLE, WITH THE CLUTCH DISENGAGED. THIS IS JUST DEPENDENT ON WEAR & TOLERANCE IN THE TRANSAXLE. WE RECOMMEND REPLACING TRANSAXLE FLUID WITH AMSOIL 75W-110, AND USING AMSOIL SLIP-LOCK ADDITIVE. IF YOU HAVE VAP ECU TUNING WE ALSO ADJUST IDLE RPM & TIMING TO MITIGATE.
2014MY-ON VEHICLES WILL REQUIRE MACHINING TO THE TORQUE TUBE, OR FOR MANUAL VEHICLES ONLY, A ‘CORE EXCHANGE’ TORQUE TUBE TO BE PROVIDED BY ASTON MARTIN
STANDARD AM REPLACEMENT PROCEDURES MUST BE COMPLETED – ASM VEHICLES MUST HAVE CLUTCH STATISTICS ERASED. ALL VEHICLES MUST HAVE MISFIRE CORRECTION FACTORS ERASED AND RE-LEARNED (FOR 2010.5MY-ON VINS FROM *13435 THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE BY AMDS FACTORY DIAGNOSTIC TOOLS).
SELF ADJUSTING CLUTCH COMPRESSION & ALIGNMENT TOOL MUST BE USED FOR INSTALLATION.
