The 4.4 liter Twin Turbo V8 engine in the M5 and M6 packs a powerful 560-600 BHP depending on variant. The most powerful M5/M6 platform BMW has ever made. But with two huge catalyst bricks per exhaust bank, a lot of backpressure is created, increasing engine bay heat, restricting airflow and performance and limiting spool speed on the turbos. Particularly when applying ECU Tuning, the stock cats are very restrictive and an obstacle to gaining good power.

VelocityAP has designed an Ultra-High Temperature 200 Cell Catalyst downpipe for the F10, F12 and F13. Utilizing 304 Stainless throughout for supreme heat resistance and durability, minimal turbulence and restriction.

Replacing the stock catalysts dramatically improves the exhaust sound, letting the V8 breathe. It also prevents misfire codes which are common with some cat delete downpipes using large expansion chambers.
